NAT-1 public IP vs. multiple public IPs

What is teh real different/advantage/disadvantage of NATing inside hosts to a pool of public IPs vs. NATing inside hosts to a single public IP?

which other way? the multiple IPs? i currently NAT all hosts to 1 IP, but i am just asking because i've seen this done before with an IP pool and couldn't for the life of me think of why someone would do that, so i posted.
