named.exe takes lot of cpu resource

Dear folks

we have windows 2000 server with Bind (windows version) installed and running
we have abou 200 websites hosted on this machine

suddenly named.exe takes 60% of cpu usage

can any body tell why?
and how to correct

It has been questioned if Internet sites using ActiveX is to blame with BIND running.

I suspect a trojan/worm, on the client side.

If you can isolate the traffic and is is essentially ICMP in any form, you have a bum client(s).
