Name Server Relationship

I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question.

If a websites Nameserver is showing as being nameserver.domain.com through the WhoIs records does this mean that any other website who's nameservers are the same will be being hosted by the same company or not?

I assume that in most cases it will but in some it will not.

or the site hosters are using a common dns nameserver...

but i imagine they'll have their own if they manage domain names for people.

There is no relatonship between who hosts a domain on thier DNS servers and where the web site is hosted. You can host your web site anywhere you like, regardless of who is hosting the DNS.
