Hello all,
I've got a customer with a MICS R1T1, 2 CI cards in the KSU, 2 port copper expander, 0X16 station mod, 12X0 (no cards installed, so why it's hooked up I don't know). I gave this customer a 4 channel copper NAM that I reinstalled and configed this morning, to install and when they did, it shows in maintainence as PCID, so I tell him while he's on site to do another reinstall and config, and when he did config, it says configuring and then "cannot continue". So I tell him to return it and I'll get another one ready. While he's in the shop I go through the whole setup, no prob's. He goes back on site and same thing, when he goes to config it says "cannot continue" and it shows in port/DN status as PCID. Has anyone seen anything like this before.
TIA
John

Hi phoneguy427,
The first NAM was a 2.2 and the second one was 2.12. I'll be hooking up a laptop to the one that was returned to watch the bootup. I'll keep you posted and thanks for the responce.
Thanks,
John

That's actually normal.
If you look up a VM DN in Maintenance>Port/DN status, the device type will be PCID.

The "cannot continue" while configing a NAM usually indicates a corrupt SYSDIR file.

HTH!
