Hi all,
I have posted this question before but didn't get a complete answer, when the caller is transferred to a busy extension I want to have an option to press 0 to leave message or press 1 to stay on hold until the representative answer the call.
I've never been asked to set this up before and wasn't sure how to do it.
All the that I had before is to transfer to an extension and if busy Fwd to the VM without the option to stay on hold so do I have to creat another sub menu for this?
Any input would be appreciated.
MISC 4.1
NAM 4.0
Thanks!

It is not quite an ACD for obobob's scenario. (He would have to set up a separate ACD group for every extension)

There are other Voicemail systems out there that have this 'busy hold' feature. (Callers reach an Auto Attendant, dial an extension, extension is busy, given option to hold or leave message)

Sorry, but the NAM does not have a busy hold setting from an Auto Attendant.

You might want to program an Interrupt key (Feature 987) on everybody's phone, so that they can see that someone has reached their mailbox while they were on a call. They can then choose to 'interrupt' the caller leaving the message.
Their phone will emit a muted beep when someone reaches their mailbox and if they have Caller ID it will show on their display for about 5 seconds.

Thanks lowradiation for the explanation it is helpfull I will see if the Interrupt key is good enough for my boss,
A star for you just to show my appreciation :)

You need a voicemail key on the phone too.
The interupt key just lets you pull them out.
The VM key(F981) will be lit if they are in voicemail.
It may not be your call in there, but at least you know if they are not. If it isn't possible ie. no on is in their vm the phone will say "not allowed"
