My Windows Me Task bar disappear

Hi
Please can some one help me.
I try to load my Web cams software. but it didn't installed properly. so i had to cancell installation.
When I restarted my PC, Task bar, at the bottom of the screen disappear. I can get it back.

Plaese can you advice me.

If you place your cursor on it does it re-appear?? By moving cursor to the bottom of the screen. If it does, right click on the task bar select properties and uncheck auto hide if checked.

If that is not the problem let us know and we will try to lend a hand.

Hi,
It happens if sometimes the Registry becomes corrupt. Get a startup disk and choose safe mode command prompt. Run scanreg /restore that is from c:\windows or that would be either in c:\windows\system or c:\windows\command(sorry for that don't remember that) and choose any date listing on which the system was working fine tell me whether this worked or not.
