I have never seen this before, but my SMTP virtual server has vanished. How does that happen? No error messages, no nothing just gone!

Before I just go and create a new Virtual Server, has anyone seen this happen before?

I can see that there is only 97Mb left on Drive C but that shouldn't affect Exchange as Exchange is installed on Drive 3 (a seperate physical HDD).

Exchange 2000
Windows 2000

Check your event logs for info

It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

If only there had been something in the event logs to point me in the right direction.

The only thing I did notice was that there was only 80MG left on the system disk (although Exchange is not installed on that disk). I moved the page file to give that disk more space and restarted the server.

Everything is now working.

God I hate computers sometimes.
