Hi there, this is a catch-all user that is getting this error.
I need this user to be able to get to the OWA server by going to this address
When I am logged onto a server as that user I cannot get to the page, but when I log into my computer as myself I can get to the page just fine.

The user has an SMTP address, the user has access to Outlook Web Access in the AD properties in the features tab, the server is on my network...

The login box that pops up asking for username/password wants to connect to: SERVER.domainname.local instead of just the domain. I think that's the problem, but when I enter the username as Domain\Username and enter the password it still does not work and gives me the HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized error.

I am scouring the internet right now, but I can't find anything useful about this.

Thanks for any help

In ur exchange system manager create another virtual dirctory(mailbox).....under default domain choose deafultdomain.local
(.local must exist in ur recipient policy and it is most likely the primary smtp address assigned to ur catch-all mailbox)....
restart ur server and try again to see if u are successfull....

or try this....make sure domain.local is posted in ur
active directory sites and services and UPN logon is enabled for that user....when asked for user name enter
user@domain.local and see if u are successfull...

exchangesolution, (ur=your etc.)
please type plain and 'clean' English, this is a site for professionals from all over the world. Although I can read it just fine, many of them, including me, do not have English as their native language.

Marcs41 it will not happen again....actually i justed posted my last comment....i accidentaly stumbled on this site yesterday....was looking for a solution myself....being an ADDICT(i have been a member on another site for years...something like experts and some exchange in it...i am writting gibberish so not to violate any more rules)....
take care and good luck...
PS: sorry i must make another post....i must thank another person for correcting me for the second time in one day...

That's ok. We all know about experts-exchange, no competition but it comes in handy now and then.
Some of us have been around here for a few year, so we try to keep it 'clean' to avoid any troubles for the owners as we would not like to see the site go away.
Other unwritten 'rules' are to not cross-post, not repeat answers given by a co-helper, and guessing or assuming things can be tricky and misleading too.
Never help anyone doing illegal stuff or help them bypass their company policy. These should be Red-Flagged!

So, welcome to Tek-Tips and enjoy!
