I recently got a newer computer and my program in XL ran fine. With this computer every time I open the file I'm automatically sent in to Break Mode. If I push play the program will continue with no error messages or alarms. Other computers with Office 2000 are fine. I'm running Office XP. Am I missing a setting ? I have the macro security set to Medium. I originally had my code in an Auto_Open sub then I tried Workbook_Open and got the same thing.

Any thoughts on this would be great.

Thanks, Rib

Rope:No, I'm a frayed knot.

Check the references:
while in VBE, menu Tools -> References ...

Hope This Helps, PH.

PH,

I can't uncheck Visual Basic For Applications, Microsoft Excel 10.0 Object Library or Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library.

Other than that I only had one other reference(ADO 2.0).

I unchecked it rechecked it and I got the same result.

Thanks, Rib

And no error message just before the break mode ?

I'm getting no error messages whatsoever. It keeps stopping on frmMainform.show. I even tried changing the name of the form and got no where. I've tried creating another project with the same scenario and got the same result.

Thanks, Rib

No just multipages, lables, listboxes, and textboxes and comboboxes. Even if I create a form with no controls on it I get the same result.

You may have to consider repairing your msoffice install.

PH,

Yes in a brand new workbook. I just did it again. I created a simple form with absoloutely no controls. I called it frmmainform and put frmmainform.Show in the Workbook_Open Sub. I got the same result. frmainform.Show is highlighted in yellow and I'm in Break Mode. Maybe I do need to uninstall Office and reinstall heh?

Thanks, Rib
