My listener.log problem

My listener.log is huge now. Can I '>listener.log'(unix) to delete the log file while my listener and database are still running?

Also when I read the listener.log, I see (USER=nobody). Where is this "nobody" from? Is it from web database calles? I couldn't reproduce it by browse my web site.

Yes (at least with 8.0 which I use)

Never seen the "nobody" in the logs - I have apache running on the box.
