In light of the news that they are no longer selling on premises phone systems, the leadership in Telecommunications has not provided definitive answers to the question of who will we going forward with to for our phone system needs going forward.

I don't get much of what your asking, or maybe why your asking us.
Details does help, especially for me since I acquired a small brain injury when I was a child.

For NEC? or who?

Are you the administrator for your phone system?

What needs? service? parts? support?
What NEC PBX model?
What phone models?
What location are you?

If you have IP sets then it maybe possible to use them on a hosted service.

NEC made several models. Six years ago might have been an SL2100, an 81/83/91 or 9300 or similar. If you’re looking for help or advice, start by putting more info into your post. Tidbits like size of system, lines, extensions, voice mail and type of phones and what you like or hate about your present system would help. Certain NEC phones can migrate to new control boxes and it may be that what tou have is adequate for a few more years. Just a thought

Right now, even though NEC pulled out of the US, they sold a good portion of the business to Forerunner/OPTUS. If your original dealer is still around, they should still be able to service you to an extent. A lot of what is available to you will depend on the model and version of your current phone system. We were an NEC direct partner. Now we are direct to Forerunner/OPTUS just like most all other resellers. Costs have increased and there is still a lot of upheaval, but help is still around.

If you can share your system details, I can help with some more information.
