MX-One 3.1 SP1 Classic LIM with IPLU and TMU/2, MOH works for digital phones, but not for IP phones, any one tried this before?

To MD or not to MD that is the question

Hi

You need VSU/SPU4 and RACEI command for that. There is no MoH for Ipphone

The MHO Source must be specified to each IP phone by using racei:dir=XXXX,cont=XXXX;

Even with RACEI, does not work, my IP phnes are 178 and 1781:
MDSH> racep:dir=all;
DIRECTORY ANNOUNCEMENT DATA
DIR WELCOM CONT
1701 251
1702 251
1703 251
1704 251
1705 251
1706 251
1707 251
1780 251
1781 251

To MD or not to MD that is the question

fouesnant:
so does this mean TMU/2 will not work for MOH on IP phones ona classic LIM?

To MD or not to MD that is the question

Hi

Yes, that is correct.
The MOH from TMU cannot be used in RACEI command for extension (RACEI:DIR=...,WELCOM=...,CONT=...;)
Here is the extract from Alex
[tt]CONT= D 1 D 2 D 3
D 1 D 2 D 3 = 0 Signifies that no continuous announcement is to be provided.
1-250 Announcement number, 1 - 250.
251 Tone Message, Music on hold input One.
252 Tone Message, Music on hold input Two.
253 Tone Message, Music on hold input Three.
254 Silence, No Announcement, No tone Message.
Note: CONT parameter values above 250 (tone message, MoH) is applicable only for groups and not individual extensions.
[/tt]

Best regards

Hi,
fouesnant, where do you have this information from ?

"Note: CONT parameter values above 250 (tone message, MoH) is applicable only for groups and not individual extensions."

I am confuse about it !!!

it means you only provide music in the form of a message on a VS or Media Gateway, TMU can't provide music to IP phones as it is used for TDM

Great, thank you all, so in a classic LIM, for TDM (extensions and trunks) we need a TMU and CONT=251-254, and for IP we need a VSU and CONT=1-250.

To MD or not to MD that is the question
