music on hold

I have a site with a CS1000E, Rls 5. , I`ve programmed route 40 as music route.
when try to program set to set mus.on hold I got :

MUS yes
MUSR 40
SCH0766
MUSR 40
SCH0766

*err sch0766

Specified route number already exists and is not of the appropriate type.

if i press carrege retutn on MUSR , it will appear as:

MUS YES
MUSR 0
despite of there is no route 0.

other thing is it writr in release 5 , no need for CFLP, because i can`t see it when program music trunk in LD 14 ?

but they are included in the package as you see below :
Enhanced Music (EMUS) package 119 requires:
• Music (MUS) package 44, and
• Recorded Announcement (RAN) package 7.
Music Broadcast (MUSBRD) is package 328.

Try this:

OUT the Music Trunks you have, Then OUT Route 40, then rebuild it, setting BDCT NO

Then build the Music Trunks, one per Network Group

on a CS1000E you MUST have music connections in the ISMs. You can not program anything other than broadcast. If you truly do have a 1000E then you must have music connections. Conference loop prompt will never appear

yes the system is CS1000E.

what you mean by ISMs ?

Boradcast package comes with the base software. Those are the packages you pointed out.

Someone earlier pointed out to you that the ISM

MUS CON 0 LEFT 0 USED 0

This means you do not have any licenses to use broadcast music and that is the only MOH that will work in the 1000E.

Today i discussed with the sale`s man, about this feature MOH, if he has to buy it from Nortel when he prepared the purchase OrdeR ( P. O.) ,The answer is he didn`t do that before , and he assumed that it`s basic feature.

So , what i understand from your reply tnphoneman , that with out MUS CON , I can`t activate MOH at all , for external trunk & for set to set ????

at least how many MUS CON I need for one system ?

I would say based on the TN count you posted Saturday, you could get away with as few as 10 MUS licenses....If that is as big as the system is expected to get in the foreseeable future.

Yes you are correct. MUS CON I believe is assigned in groups of 4. It all depends on how many users you want to hear the music at one time.
