Hi there,

We are developing an Access 2000 application with 2 developers (me being one of them). The problem is that we can't work in the same .MDB file at the same time. If we do that, only one of us is allowed to save changes. Of course, this doesn't work very well for us. We would like to work simultaniously in the same .MDB (like using Visual Sourcesafe in a VB project). Anyone knows how to do this?

Bye,
Jeroen

Do you use sourcesafe for VB? If you install the add-on for access on the office developer edition CD, you can use sourcesafe for access as well. You will have to work on local databases and have the queries, modules, etc. managed by sourcesafe.

Best regards

Besides the "working on the same thing at the same time" problems, if you're implementing security at a later time you can simply copy the entire database and work on whatever objects are necessary. Then, when finished, import your objects back into the database.
