Multiple Windows Opened?

Let's say I have a web page that creates a pop-up page that needs to know how many windows are opened at that moment...If the 'popped-up' page detects 2 windows, I want to display certain controls on that page...

Any ideas??

other application windows? not a chance.

other browser windows not associated with the parent/opener window? still no chance.

the only way you'll be able to "detect" other browser windows is if they were opened by your parent window or some child thereof, and you store a reference or counter somewhere each time a window is opened/closed

true enumeration of running processes is not possible with core js
