Multiple USB devices

PC's can have multiple USB devices connected to them.

I'm thinking about connecting three small lcd panels to one pc each of which would be located in a different position and will display different messages.
Has anyone had experience of "talking" to three identical USB devices from within VB and doing so with each one treated independantly?

Each USB Device should have it's own address if it is to be run on the same USB port. Read the documentation regarding the displays, that is if there is any with respect to anything close to SDK documentation, and it should show how to address the various displays. The address of the device is represented as a byte that this sent along with the information packet from the computer; hence the reason for the 250, or so, device limit per USB port. Sorry I don't have any further information, but I hope this helps a bit. Perhaps programming in C would bring you better results.

If I recall correctly, when a USB device is plugged in, it gets a unique identifier assigned. How to find out this number, and what to do with it afterwards, I don't know. :-(
