Hello all,

I just have a question or two....

1. Is it possible to have 2 windows 2000 domain controllers on 2 different subnet mask sharing a single cable connection?

2. If this is possible can someone tell me how without being too technical.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you just want to have that connection on both servers, add the default gateway (TCP/IP properties) of the other server on each server.

If you have to share connections with clients, you will have to configure Routing and Remote Access Server as a router and add routes for each subnet.

Thanks for your reply....

Does this now mean that I can have 2 domain controllers running - 1 on each subnet?

This is what I'm trying to do. I need to have 2 domain controllers connecting to the same cable connection and I'm not too sure if this is possible. When I tried I'm running into serious problems with active directory. If it is possible then I must be definately doing something wrong.

Can you shed some light on this? If it is possible maybe you can point me in the direction where I can get the basic setup up procedure for having 2 domain controllers using 2 different subnets sharing one cable connection.

Again thanks for any help or suggestions in advance.
