I have two STMP Domains. Whenever I Change my Primamy Domain all incoming mail stops. I can send mail out, but I can't send mail to myself or anywhere else for that matter. What could be the problem. Any suggestions are greatly appreatated.
I'm afraid you'll have to elaborate a bit mroe. What do you mean exactly.. waht procedures are you following? What do you mean you ahve two SMTP domains? How are you changing your primary domain and what is your current network configuration? Regards
I have two Email domains. One is abc.com and the other is 123.com. They are both listed in the recipent policy as domains. With abc.com set as primary everything works fine. Somebody can send to abc.com and 123.com fine. But when I set 123.com to be the primary, because I want the users to have the @123.com shown, no incoming mail comes through. Users can't even send mail internally to each other, but outgoing mail will go out. Any suggestions?
The following Microsoft article will show you how to set up Multiple SMTP domains, whether they will all be hosted on Exchange or routed to another SMTP server. This article should be in every Exchange Administrator's Favorites.
This link describes all SMTP routing configurations:
I think I have outlined all of the options for Exchange 2000 and Multiple SMTP Domains. Let me know if you need any further information or help. Thank you,

Thanks for the replies. I have everything set up right on my end. The only thing I didn't do when adding the SMTP Domain and setting it as primary was Restart the Microsoft Exchange information Store. Would that cause no incoming mail?
You have to reset the Exchange IS store after changing the recipient policy as well as Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine and Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) Thank you,
