Issue: In the Reverse Lookup Zones in DNS I see multiple records for a singe IP:
192.168.165.10 Pointer(PTR) Computer1
192.168.165.10 Pointer (PTR) Computer5
192.168.165.10 Pointer (PTR) Computer7
I see this in both Static and DHCP subnets.
In the Foward lookup zones to the hosts have "Update associated pointer (PRT) record" -Checked.
The issue is causing a problem with an Application that does a reverse lookup on the host. The first time it does a lookup, all is well as it returns Computer 1. When doing a second lookup it returns the hostname Computer 5, which causes the app to freak out.
Any help appreciated...
