Hi everyone,

I am having a hard time with multiple profiles in outlook 2000 sp1, win95 osr2. Several profiles are setup on the box, with None as the security logon since at any given time, anyone can be logged on to that box.

Some profiles work, some don't. All profiles are working if NT authentication is used. However this is useless since if one tries to access outlook but is not logged on to the box with his account, no chance in getting in other then log out and back in.

Do you guys have a better solution? I have OWA but no plan in using it at lease for a while.

Thanks.

Quick question, do you have all mailboxes or the first setup to prompt for a user in tools-options-mail services? Are the people who are not able to log on getting a access error or cannot find server?

Hi mezaim,

Yes, I have it setup to prompt for a profile. I also have all mailboxes to prompt for user, domain and pass. I have a generic account that the box is logged on.

The error I am getting is unable to open folder. All users are able to log into Outlook but cannot open their mailbox folder. The funny thing is, some do and some don't.

I wish I could figure out why is that. I speculate it has something to do with win95 and domain authentication. If a user logs on to the box with his/her account, everything is peachy.

Thanks

I had the same problem you. What I did was I just deleted the profile and then recreated the profile. That worked for me......but I am sure you already tried this. If not, give it a try.

Hey it sounds to me like the users arent logging of outlook properly, make sure they are clicking file>exit to logoff not just shutting it down with the X
hope this helps
