On this PC Windows XP Profession, there are 2 users log on, administrator and employee. Different users can log onto the PC using the user name employee, but each user uses a their own individual password for this one logon "employee". How does this work and how does one set it up.

Your post seems to say that it already happens.

Are you trying to set this up or is this already happening and you have a problem with it?

Has the Guest Account be renamed to "employee"?

I got a call from a client who said that a tech had setup one user logon, "employee" with multiple passwords for different users of this PC. I did not think it was possible, and I do not know how the tech set it up. My client wants me to do the same at a different location. Is is possible to set a single logon with multiple passwords. If there are 10 users at the location, each will have their own password, but use the same logon "employee".

I talked to the client and the person who claims to have set this up limited all access to the PC and does not want to share the info. My client does not know much about it and does not want me to look at it.
Thanks for google sites but I could not find anything related to this issue. I did not even think it was possible to do, and I have not seen it in action except thru the word of my client. He may not be my client too much longer if that is what he is looking for in his office and this person is the only one who appears to know how to set it up.
If anyone comes up with some thoughts I would appreciate hearing about it.

Something sounds very fishy here - I dont see how you would ever load the same profile using different passwords at will. Why you would even want different passwords to get to the same data i dont know ?!?!
Are you sure the client understands it correctly and is passing on the correct information to you. Have you see this computer in action?

That is what I explained to him. But he said that is what happens at this location and he won't tell me where it is and he does not know what this person did, except that he forbids anyone to use the server in case something goes wrong. I thought it sounded fishy and that is why I am wondering if anyone has even heard of multiple passwords for one user. He claims that each user has access to only his/hers data. I am extremely confused by this.
