I have IPO R3(59) and VM Pro 3(17). Cust wants Group called Operators to roll to overflow group1 after 3 rings, then overflow Group2 after another 3 rings then to Voicemail box for Operator. I can get it to roll to Overflow Group1, but not the others. I have the Hunt Groups set to Group, Overflow Time to 15secs and Queing turned on. Is it possible to make this work how the customer wants. Any input would be appreciated.

As long as the overflow groups are all in the overflow list for the first group it will work

If you have more than one group in the first groups overflow it will ring all of them.

The best way would be to use voicemail pro.

Overflow to the first group, then to voicemail. In voicemail leave point transfer to the next group & setup its leave to put the voicemails in the first group mailbox.

Have a play on some test groups.

Sorry just tested today on 3.0(59)

If the orginal group is set to group type ring and you have 2 other groups in its overflow list it will move from the original group to the first group in the overflow list (but not ringing at the original group anymore) then after the original groups overflow timer again it then moves to the second group in the over flow list.

That is confusing

Basically it moves through the overflow group on group type ring. On Hunt or rotary it just adds the group as a member of the orginal group.

The overflow side of the hunt groups is always linear. So, you can stack overflow groups and it will progress through according to your overflow time on your destination group. For VM at the end, I create a user that forwards hunt group calls to a shortcode, then create a callflow to match your shortcode. Last create another hunt group with that one user in it that is linear with VM and queuing off. Add this new hunt group to the last spot on your original groups overflow.
Whalla, works almost every time.

You guys make this sound so hard.

If you leave voice mail on for the orginal group, in your case the group called operators the call will progress through the overflow groups and at the end goto the voice mail for the Operator hunt group.

[cheers]

Yes, in most scenarios where a call is routed around the system unanswered, if it eventually goes to voicemail it will go to the mailbox of its first target.

Group overflow has changed between versions. It's always been a little dicky
