Multiple ODBC Connections to a single database

I have a database on a netware server and need to connect to it from multiple workstations using ODBC connections.
I create ODBC connections on each of the workstations and when I try to connect to the database I get the following error.
"Connection failed: specified database is invalid"

Hiya,

From that error message, it would sound like the ODBC driver is set up with a login name that is not valid for the database you are trying to connect into.

Check with your DBA that the user name(s) that you are using are authorized to be in that database.

From each workstation I can connect to the database successfully, but when I try to connect from a second workstation I recieve the following error:

Is it possible that your Sybase database is in "single-user mode" ? This can occur even if you didn't manually put it into single-user mode. Robert Bradley

How can I tell if my Sybase database is in "single user" mode?

In Sybase Central, right-click the database and choose Properties, then go to the Options tab. Single user mode is one of the checkboxes there. Robert Bradley
