I have two video cards..

. The generic ATI Card installed with my computer
. Radeon 9100

Whichever monitor is plugged into the Radeon is the monitor that works, the other monitor is just blank.

I can find lots of info on multiple monitors but none that fix the specific problem I have.

Is your generic graphics card built into the motherboard? If so, you might not be able to use multiple monitors.

We had some Hewlett Packard PC's which came with integrated video cards. We wanted to use multiple monitors but this wasn't achievable because the addition of a separate graphics card in the spare AGP slot overrided the in-built card. We couldn't use both simultaneously.

We contacted HP and they confirmed this. The only way to do it was to buy an AGP card with dual monitor support - i.e. with two VGA interfaces.

However, check your BIOS for more information. There might be a setting in there.

Just go and purchase a card like NVIDIA nForce2 Business.
That is the one I use, it works great in both my home machine and work computer. At work I have dual 19inch CRT's monitors running. at home I have dual 19inch LCD's, easy to setup and configure.
