You will need to enable the From field and then enter the name of your group in that field
To enable: In the reply e-mail click view and ensure the from field is ticked.
Note: You will need to be authorised to send on behalf of the group for this to work
Thanks for your reply gizmo. I did enable the from button in my reply email. but as you said, I dont have permission to send the mail on behalf of the group (even though I am a member of the group). If you could please let me know, what permissions should I enable in my group properties, that would be great
The best bet (and the one I alwasy use) are to set yourself (or IT to set if appropriate) as the owner of the box.
I have a box where all 5 of us are ste to owner but still one of us cannot send on behalf of the box (a bug perhaps?)
You at least need to be a folder contact I believe but I use the easy route of Owner everytime
I have been able to add the inbox, but the problem is I am not able to open the folders. I could not either right click on the new group folder, to go to proeperties. should I do something in Active directory users and computers or should I do something in Exchange. I have access to both active directory and for exchange.
That one I don't know.
I am only an end user and when I cannot expand folders i generally call the helpdesk.
But they would (or you) would need to set the permissions for all folders and sub-folders to owner, how you go about this I don't know.
You could try through the properties of outlook itself?
