I have a scenario where there is a Windows 2000 server with Windows NT4 workstation. On some of the workstations there is a problem with mapped drives. We are getting mapped drives from A to Z all pointing to the same share. Has anyone come accross this ? Does anyone have a fix? Any help would be appreciated.

Personally I've never seen this. Try unmapping all the drives (making note to drive letters and mappings) and remap the drives one at a time, testing them as you go along. WMH

I have seen something like this - but never solved it. A machine at a site I worked on created a new mapping to the same share every time the user accessed that share - so after a while it took up all the available drive letters. Several reinstalls later still doing it - so assumed it was a hardware problem of some sort.

Thanks for your replies.
