Ok, I currently have an NT network with one domain, two building WAN with Cisco routers, switches, and hubs. The bigger of the two offices has the BDC with one file server and one (old)Electronic Medical Records database(all NT). On top of that I have 4 Win 2K Servers: Exchange 5.5, (new)Electronic Medical Records Database, Fax/Print box, and Image box. We use both EMR systems but the old one is hard coded to use NT only. Smaller of the two offices has the PDC along with a seperate (old)Electronic Medical Records database just for that building. The New EMR database is shared by both buildings.

Goal: I bought two new servers that I am going to install Win2k server on and put one in each office. I would like to create a new domain with AD and have all Win2k servers, workstations and wireless units log on to the new domain without disrupting the current domain as it can't be mucked with. The NT domains PDC and BDC are running on Older Compaq 75 mhz processors and I'm looking for speed increase, better data redundancy, cleaner scripts, user logons, etc... So I pretty much want to switch everything over to the new domain except the very few 95 machines that need to log on to the old domain to access old medical charts.

Questions? How difficult is this to do and will it interfere with any of the NT stations? Can I keep my exchange 5.5 with the new domain and AD? It can be switched to like mixed mode??? What other problems will arise when I do this? I will take any suggestions, links, or anything. Thnanks

Brian
