I have seen several posts about this and I had everything configured right as far as I can tell but still can't receive mail.
I am receiving mail at one domain abc.com. I want to add at least two other domains; def.com, ghi.com to allow current receipients of abc.com mail to receive def.com mail.
Here is what I have done:
1. Added def.com and ghi.com to the routing table in exchange. I have tried <inbound> and routing to abc.com domain.
2. Added an MX record and an A record to the def.com and ghi.com zones in DNS to point to the exchange server.
3. Added an SMTP email address to my recipient properties. I have: imiller@abc.com,imiller@def.com in my email addresses.
I can ping mail.def.com and mail.ghi.com and get name resolution.
I can internally send an email to imiller@def.com or imiller@abc.com.
Externally I get an unknown host message.
I don't know if this makes a difference, but I am using NAT to translate the external IP address to the internal address of the exchange server.
What did I miss.
