Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to host multiple emails domain names on a single Exchange 2003 server ?

I would like to share one Exchange between multiple small customers and give them access using the web version of Outlook.

Thanks

Yes it is possible. You just set each customers MX record to point to your IP address. Then using Recipient Policies to "catch" the email for each user. The one caveat is that they are not AD users I assume, or are they?

The idea is to have one mail server servicing multiple small customers. They will access the mail server using the web version of Exchange 2003 only.

Does your theory work for outbound mail also ?

Yeah it works, you just have to be careful when you create the user accounts. In AD, when you create a user and create it's email address, it will use the default domain so you must change it if it doesn't correspond to your small customers domain. I have one customer that has 2 domains and they are able to receive from both domains but only send out as the "chosen" domain.
