Several hosts with the same IP (for example: 192.168.0.1) need
to connect to my Router at the same time.

- The Connection between my Cisco Router and their Router is Frame Relay Network ,,
- I use only my Serial Interface to connect the Frame Relay
- I May do anything on My Router , but I can Do Nothing on their Routers , So Please forget any suggestion about changing the remote IP, it simply can't be done.

Here is my idea to solve it : using NAT Outside on my Router..

Please I need another solutions !

I have been considering your question.
Even using NAT it is not an easy task. I am not sure how you are to going to handle this.
I have been thinking about BVI, but I am not sure it would work.
I will let you know if I came to any conclusion.

let me get this straight, u have multiple clients connecting to your router, all sourcing as the same IP address...?...

well, if so, first thing, u're slightly lucky, as frame relay is an NBMA network..

but second, u need to route their IP to the respective frame relay subinterface on your router.. Cisco will allow u to route the same IP to multiple interfaces, but how it will process packets destined for that IP, i can't say for sure, i haven't tested it...

perhaps u could post your config, so we get more ideas about your network and offer a solution.. i know it's possible, but we need to hack it..

good luck..

Well the Configuration is not ready yet ..
But yes ,, all the Clients have the Same IPs ..
Do u have any similar Configuration ?

Thank fmonteiro for your answer ..
but my problem is not that they have duplicated serial IPs ..
my Problem is that they have duplicated Ethernet IPs ..

The remote Sites have the same IP segments , so that I can't make static Route to them ...

The Serial Interfaces IP can be anything I want , but I can't change their Ethernet IPs ..

Sorry! This is what was not clear for me. Check later this day.

Hi Mohamed,

I am sorry. I was unable to come to a conclusion about this configuration.

Hope somebody else could help.

Good lucky!

then that should be much much easier for u to setup.. if their serial IPs are different, why don't u NAT their ethernet segments onto their seiral IPs..?..

that shd solve your problem in an instance..

good luck..

yes this is right ,, but as I said , I can't do anything in their sites .. I have no control their !!!

Can't you go back to them and be like "this way, or no way?" ????

i'm afraid that if you can go to their sites, then there's nothing else you can do... the router DO need configuration for them to WORK, otherwise we wouldn't be having this forum in the first place.. :)

good luck..
