Hi,
I am looking at a MOH device which can provide me multiple output channels, like channel 1 plays MOH1, Channel 2 plays MOH2 etc,. We are running Tennant partitioning & currently blocking 5 different PCs to play the music which is blocking these machines with no great use.
Is there anyone who have similar kinda situation & have used any equipment, I have searched for something of this type but can't find.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Are you streaming audio from these pc's?
or just playing files stored on them?
I am just using a small mp3 player for what we have running.

We are just playing the stored wav files from the PC's . I am concerned on the life of a small mp3 player, would these work on a 24*7 environment? Ours is a 24*7 call centre & MOH is required all times.

i'm sorry to jus barge in just like that...
how you managed to connect MOH to the PC audio output jack without blowing up the soundcard with the feedback voltage of 48 volt from the switch.... i tried serveral attemp and end up with very smokey server room...

as for your question Have you tried to use announcement instead of MOH? since your files are static audio track.

I can't tell you the life expectancy of a mp3 player.
I would think it should be quite some time, since they are a solid atate device (no moving parts).
The one I am using is just one of the small portable units that an associate had sitting collecting dust. We put the audio tracks on it and connected it to a plug in power adaptor (batteries would never last)and its been going 24/7 for at least 9 or 10 months now.

What are you connecting to?
For MOH you can use a regular analog port.
It must not be a port assigned to a station or the ringer voltage will get you.

use a good old TN763D AUX pack if you have one, and it will work without anything in between.
If you want to be on the safe side put a 1Kohm resistor in line as a safety.

Make sure you program the port first since a tti port also carries voltage.

Bobg, lopes1211 n telcoguy,

I am using the normal Analogue port TN2793, i configure it at "ch sys feat" not a station. only those high powered CD audio device seems to work for me but not those mp3 player or soundcard from some PC....
