I'm running XP Pro and have a question regarding multiple CD/CD-RW/DVD-RW connections. I have a CD-RW, 16X DVD, and a DVD-+RW. The hard drive is running a separate RAID controller built into the motherboard. So I'm left with the standard Primary and Secondary controllers built into the MB to attach the CD/DVDs. Any suggestions on what the best master/slave - primary/secondary connections would be. I'm kind of thinking that for a disc-to-disc burn it would be best to have the writer and the reader on separate channels. So maybe both the CD-RW and the DVD-RW on the primary as master and slave. Then the DVD as the master on the secondary to serve as the reader for a CD or a DVD disc-to-disc burn. Any thoughts??

Your instincts are good. You want the reader on one channel and the writer on the other.
