I am currently the ONLY Admin in a system that will soon again have multiple ADMIN's for redundancy and checks and balances....

I have added a new FINANCE server that for some reason the SHARE features on the drive are reset to SHARE (turned on) everyday, no matter how many times I turn them off? Am I crazy.. I am not sure what is happening.. or even where to look to disable....

Any ideas would be appreciated

Are these the hidden shares which are set by default (those with a $ suffix, such as C$, D$, Admin$, WINNT$ etc?)

You can disable the computer browser and server services from the control panel which will switch them off, but this will also remove any legitimate file sharing activity, which is one of the main points of a file server.

Well.... this server has two drives, one i wished to be automatically shared... one not to be shared at all. I will keep looking for answers
