First of all, I am sorry if this is the wrong forum, but this is the closest I could find....

I am looking for some software that will record from a line input from the soundcard for long periods of time. Right now, with sound forge I am limited to about 45 minutes of recording time, due to my memory limitations. I am looking to record about 3 hours of audio.

Does anybody know of some software that instead of recording to memory, it records straight to the disk?

thanks for any help you can provide...

I use MusicMatch or EZ-CD creator to do that. I'm supprised that sound forge doesn't have an option to let you write to the hd.

Remove EZ-CD from the above post. That only worked with W98.

I guess I am not completly sure that sf doesn't have an option to write directly to the hd....do you know anywhere that I can look for that information?
