Hi all. We just received some PC's from one of our other sites. Currently Win XP is installed in French. Is there a way to change it to english and not have to reformat? I haven't actually seen the PC's yet, but the folks in the field are telling me this ahead of time.

I tried to have patience but it took to long! :-) -DW

You should be able to go into the control panel - date, time, language, and regional options and make changes in there.

Changing the language in 'Regional and Language Options' will not change the installation language. It will only change the input language (keyboard layout and such). Windows is shipped to different countries with localized versions installed. Seems you will have reinstall Windows or install an English version of Windows on a different partition. There is a Multi User Interface Package(MUI) that is available through a Microsoft Open License Agreement that will change text, display menus, and etc.

- Can I convert Windows into a different language?

Thanks for the replies! I found a couple of those links Joey, but was hoping there was a way to fix the installation.

Thanks again!
