How can you make a digital phone ring at more than one location?

An analog can be done by making a parallel circuit on the punch board. But, I'm afraid that digital phones don't take kindly to that kind of use.

thanks,

Its called an "answer group". We us it in IT for our help desk Wisdom is Knowledge

I don't know exactly what you mean with "more than one location" but when you stay within the same Definity, you can use "bridged appearance".

This means that you "duplicate" call appearance buttons to another digital extension.

Plan your work............Work your plan

I mean I want the same number to be at 2 locations. Much like the multiple jacks on a residential phone line.

Call bridge still allows for there to be 2 seperate and real stations to dial from.

I'm just wondering if there is a way to make the same station "be" at 2 locations.

The system just can't do that. If you are running low on Extension numbers we can help. If you have an answer-group or a bridge app. that's as close as your going to get...Sorry. Wisdom is Knowledge

How do you setup a answer group then?

Sorry, I'm not real familiar with answer groups.

thanks,

If you click on the FAQ Supertanker has it all spelled out. Hope it helps out. Wisdom is Knowledge

Agree with Brandaris on the 'bridged appearences.
The other extra set would have it's own number, but that can just be a fake internal extension nr.
Add only 1 call apearance for the fake and add at least 2
bridged appearences for the extension you wish to use.

I don't know as I would set it up as an answer group.
I would probably set up a terminating extension group.(-:
