Hi Guys,

Any idea how to reset craft login on MSS?

Regards

good luck with that did you forget it or did Avaya change it when the system was registered?

The only way i know is to login with craft and change it or to boot from a redhat cd and hack the password.

Odd that the customer would be using the craft login. Are you talking about the MSS or the MAS login ?

You can try crftpw

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

It has been discussed multiple times on Tek-Tips and other forums not to share default passwords... In most cases if it was 'forgotten', it probably wasn't given to the end user to begin with. And if it was, it should have been documented.

This could easily be recovered by a Business Partner or Avaya for a cost.

I recommend not sharing any passwords going forward.

Just my 2 cents...

Thanks,

Are you sure the passwords are not on the planing form. If you are the BP then you should have the dadmin login but other than that like i said in an earlier post Avaya may not give you the craft login. And if they do I am sure they will charge for it.

Why is it the customer needs the craft login and not VM or SA?

98Coverter I totally agree that passwords default or not should be shared in any public facing forum. If someone sends someone a private message that's one thing, but giving a default password for something is another. They either need to obtain the password through the appropriate channels (BP or Avaya) or accept the fact that they can not obtain this information.
