MSO 2000 having error upon install

I am tring to install ms office 2000 on a win xp o/s. I am not sure if that is the problem at hand or something else. It gets half way through installation and comes up with an error ("problem accessing protected file"). Any ideas why its happening???

Had the same problem, but everything seems to work ok afterwards. But I would like to know the answer also.
