We recently installed a proxy server (Web Security for Symantec) on our network...The IP is 10.3.110.12 port: 8002 and have pointed all users to this server to browse. This works fine...

We are using Netscreen 25's as our firewalls and I blocked the old path to the internet but allowed a policy above it to allow all traffic to 10.3.110.12:8002...So if internet traffice is going out, it has to use this IP address...

Other programs that use proxy settings work fine after putting the IP and port of the proxy server in to the application but MSN messenger will not..I have tried the HTTP, Socks4 and Socks5 with thie above IP and it still will not work...Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

On the MSN Messenger Tools menu, click Options. On the Connection tab, be sure the 'I use a proxy server' check box is set.

I did put the IP and port of the proxy server (10.3.110.12:8002) but still cannot get out...Does MSN use a different proxy port?
