I'm having a problem installing MSMQ on a Windows 2000 Server. I have installed MSMQ on our Domain Controller, which is a W2K3 Server. The problem is that when I attempt to install it on the W2K machine, I enable routing and select the DC in the 'Specify Domain Controller Running MSMQ' box, I then receive the following error message;
'The MSMQ Server you specified is not currently available. Please verify the MSMQ server name is valid and verify the MSMQ service is online'.
I know for a fact that MSMQ is installed and the service is running on the W2K3 DC. I've run the diagnostic tests from that machine and they were successful. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this problem? Is there a compatibility problem with MSMQ between different O/S?
