I have a server running SQL 7.0 that was physically moved to a new location and placed into a new domain last week. After the move, it was discovered that the MSDTC service will no longer start. The following error message appears in the event viewer
"MSDTC service terminated with service-specific error 3221229584"
As I am a SQL virgin - I have no clue what to do to fix this problem. I did find some a possible solution in Technet but it sounds complicated as it involves tweaking the registry. Any clues as to how I should proceed?? By the way - because the MSDTC service won't run - I cannot perform necessary Database Maintenance tasks like dumping the critical databases each night....
Thanks for your time
