Actually, I have no problems in installing MSDE, but where the problem lays is how to get connected to MSDE
I use an Access 2000 Database Project file (.adp) to "attack" the database server and everytime it is a failure. warnings are displayed such as
"SQL state 1231" or sql "server error 1231".
What do i do when i install MSDE ?
I select the default options (local installation) until i reach the screen titled "services account".
there i choose "use the local system account option".
it may create a local id "sa" and no password necessary.
therefore when the Access project demands (.adp) the id (log in), i enter "sa" but do not precise any
password (or a blank); but patatra, failure during the connection.
Would you have any ideas about how to surround that ? I also already made several trials with real log in and password, originally entered during the installation, but same outcome !
