MSBSY on PRI lines

Hello,

Every now and then our PRI line goes downa nd the status on the PRI card shows for all the channels

Maintenance Busy (MSBSY)...

What would cause this problem?

what does the lcnt table show? if any of those counts exceed the thresholds set in ld 73, that's your problem. also check your clock source to make sure your clocking correctly

your dropping frames due to slips

check ld 60
ssck 0.. your either looking at a bad internal clock or the clock source is bad. i would have an intrusive stress test preformed by the provider

could you give me more details about ssck 0? I'm not that expert on PRI issues.

in ld 60, that will stat the clock(s). they should be tracking on a loop, usually the ld. if they are free run, meaning clocking internal, that can cause your problem. that problem may also be at the co level. if it is an internal (clocking) problem, you'll see slips in other t's

Thanks, I spoke to the telco, they are going to do a stress test on it.

i wouldn't attempt any additional until they give you a clean bill of health. more then one party testing can give false results..
