MS Word Question 1

Hi, Anyone know how I can create a table in word but then hide the outline of the table so that all the info remains in the same place but you don't see the table lines??? I see that the microsoft templates do this all the time.. the outlines of the tables kind of look like dotted lines and when you print it, you don't see them. That's what I'd like to do. Thanks!

It's probably under Format, Borders and Shading.

There are some shortcut keys that do that. I am asking someone via email....

Meanwhile, the long way:

Click inside the table.
From the menu, choose Table-Select Table.
Format-Borders and shading.
Borders tab.
Choose NONE. Anne Troy

Have you ever noticed that after you insert a table in Word 97 or Word 2000, it adds a border around the cells in the table by default? If you don't want the borders, you can select your table then click on the Format Menu, Borders and Shading, then select "None."

But the fastest way is to simply press Ctrl+Alt+U immediately after inserting the table. If you've already created your table, or if your cursor isn't already in your table, you should make sure you place the insertion point within the table before pressing Ctrl+Alt+U. Anne Troy
