I ran into an issue with Office Xp on a Windows XP machine. The issue was as follows:
When a user on the Windows XP machine tried to connect to an Exchange 2000 server using Outlook XP they were not able to get in. I checked their crednetial and the firewall setting and verified that I was able to connect using a Win2k Pro machine and OutlookXP using their crednetials. I also verified that the user had added the setting in to their Hosts file so that they could ping the server via NetBios name with success.
I read some articles stating that winfax pro would give the same type of error but they didnot have it installed on their machines.
Only after installation of SP1 for OfficeXP they were able to successfully able to connect to the server and download
I wanted to post this since I havent seen any resolutions or mention of this error before
