I have a small MS Access 2000 SR-1 application packaged with the P& D Wizard in Windows XP. I cannot install this application in any other OS but Windows XP. Runtime Access installs beautifully, but the application itself fails to. The error message is "Setup cannot continue because some files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like to update these files now." If I do click update, the computer shuts down and restarts without restarting setup. This loop can go on forever.
I packaged similar applications in Windows 98 in previous years and I was able to install them in any version of Windows without any problem.
And yes, I did download all the patches for Office 2000 and Developer. But I still fail to find a folder called \min or \full in my AccessRT directory.
Now comparing the 2 packaged solution, the new one (Windows XP) and the old one (Windsows 98) some of the files in the old package are by far larger.
I'm at the end of my witts.
I hope you guys can help me cause you are the best!!!!
Thanks in advance.
