I am configuring a MS Server 2k3 box. I would like to do RAID 5, but the machine doesnt have a controller, nor do I have the $$$ right now. It is a Dell PowerEdge 1650 with 3 36GB SCSI drives. I have drive0 configured as the primary partition(C:\). I would like drive1 and drive2 to be configured as 1 large 72GB drive.

Can I do this in Disk Management in MS Server 2k3?
If so how? Do I make disks 1 & 2 Basic or Dynaic Disks and how do I configure?

If this isnt possible, what are my options to achieve "disk spanning" or treating two SCSI drives as 1 partition.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

Well after posting, I just started testing and found the answer to my question...

I had to upgrade both disks 1 & 2 to Dynamic disks and then create a Spanned volume.

Works like a charm.
