I have an Excel spreadsheet which contains a query. The data source for the query is a 'table' (a named range) within the same spreadsheet.
What I need is some way of tying this source to the query. When the file is copied or moved or emailed and saved elsewhere, the SQL in the query is still looking at the original file path for the data source. How do I get the SQL to look at the "current file" wherever it is saved or moved to?
I'm not too hot on SQL - why can't Excel just perform queries on internal sources!!!!

Thanks in advance.

I think the Advanced Filter is designed to do what you describe. The Advanced filter is found in the Data Menu Under Filter. The Help in Excel explains it quite well.

If the selection is simple you could possibly use the AutoFilter. Sandy
