When trying to open a .pcx file, I get the error "Unable to register document. The Document may already be open." which it's not. Does anybody know about this? Thanks. Kelly

The paint tool in Windows 98 does not support .pcx files. The only work around is to use a different imaging program. -Best cartoon of all time :-D 'Spongebob Squarepants' :-D

Thanks, Brad. Just odd because that is the program that launched when I double-clicked on the pic. I'll use something else then.

Love Spongebob! [thumbsup2] Kelly

You're right it is strange that Win9x paint doesn't support .pcx files because that file is associated with .bmp files. If you want you can just reassociate the extention with whatever program you are planning on using. Just thought I'd add that last thing. Hope that helps.

lol gotta love that likable guy Spongebob :-D -Best cartoon of all time :-D 'Spongebob Squarepants' :-D

Paste it into Excel, then use the "copy as" function, copy as bitmap then past it into paint.

To use the copy as function.

Highlight the pic hold down the shift key and press edit

you will see a function "Copy Picture", click and copy as bitmap. you can then paste to paint or any other package
