MS Outlook archiving 1

I am trying to archive old messages by doing the file->archive route but on some machines it is not working. It creates the archive file but does not write the data to it. The issue is on MS Outlook 2000 and XP.

Anyone had a similar problem or know how to correct it?

Found out how to fix it. The email archiving is performed on the modified date of the email. Personally I think that is odd. Is there any way to set it to run on sent date?
